I was born and raised in Chapel Hill, Tennessee by two wonderful parents, Bill and Pam. I grew up in love with the outdoors. Everything about it - from rabbit dogs to blue gill fishing. My younger brother, Jeremy, and I began duck hunting in Arkansas as teenagers and were ate up, knowing every inch of the White River like the back of our hands. After high school, I took a job working night shifts at a Nissan plant. I would get off of work on Thursday at 2 a.m. to drive to Arkansas and hunt all weekend then go back to work Monday night at 5 p.m. When I couldn't take anymore of that after 7 years, I started my own lawn care business and began guiding for someone else in the winter.

After many, many years working for someone else and truly learning this industry, I began guiding snow goose hunts in Arkansas under Southern Prairie Outfitters. I, then, met Paul Shirley and we became partners on SPO guiding duck and goose hunts in Canada and Arkansas!
